The ADB Performance Group
Antonio Del Buono's Performance Group is a cross grade level group open to students of any age and grade level. They are dedicated student performers and their parents who meet each week to learn about Creative Movement, the craft of choreography and the discipline of performance skills.
The ADB Performance Group, under the artistic direction of Katie T. Larsen in collaboration with teachers, Mrs. Kim Joe, Miss Traci Johnson and parents, is now offering dance and theater experiences to students at ADB.
Typically when we start, there can be an unprecedented 100-150 student dancer/actor applicants to the ADB Performance Group. Not all applicants will make the group but they will all have fun and an opportunity to tryout. Students study the craft of theater and the skills of dance two to three days a week after school. As part of their contract, parents agree to volunteer at least two hours of their time per month to help us produce the Performance Group.
Each year ADB hosts a Harvest Festival, the proceeds of which benefit the Arts at ADB - specifically the Violin Program, the ADB
Performance Group and Arts Alive.
This year, once again, our Violin and Performance Group and Arts Alive are hosting the Harvest Festival in October. The Harvest Festival is one of the main fundraisers for the Performing Arts at ADB.
